About the app
Activity Quest is a mobile app designed to help busy parents answer the dreaded question: “What can I do?” With just a tap, the app suggests creative, fun, and low-prep activities for kids — from messy play to outdoor adventures to quiet indoor fun. It’s the perfect digital companion for screen-free, spontaneous family time.
Built for parents who want to keep their kids engaged (without always relying on screens), Activity Quest offers both random and categorized ideas. Activities can be filtered by type, customized, and even stored for later — making it easy to turn downtime into quality time.
Why I Built It
As a mom and tech builder, I often found myself looking for quick ways to entertain my kids that didn’t involve a tablet. Most apps were too structured, too educational, or too screen-heavy. I built Activity Quest as a lightweight, joyful alternative — fun, flexible, and designed to fit real life.

My Role
I led the entire project — from ideation and database design to frontend implementation and UI styling. I kept the app minimal, fast, and child-friendly, with a clear focus on user experience.
What I Learned
Building Activity Quest reinforced the value of scope control and minimal UX friction. I also deepened my experience with Flutter animations, card layouts, and integrating Supabase for user-generated content.
